Getting Started

How to join Umgalelo Products

To become a Umgalelo Distributor and gain access to your personalized Backoffice, please follow these steps:

  1. Visit our website at www.umgalelo.africa.
  2. Click on the "Sign Up" button.
  3. Fill out the required information in the registration form.
  4. To submit the form click the “Register” button.
  5. At this point you will be redirected to your own personalized Backoffice. If logged out, feel free to log in using you credentials, go to the menu and click Backoffice.
  6. In your Backoffice, you will find tools, resources, and information to support you as a Umgalelo Distributor.

By following these steps and creating your free account, you will gain access to your personalized Backoffice, where you can start your journey as a Umgalelo Distributor.

How to upgrade Umgalelo account

To upgrade your free account and become an active distributor at Umgalelo, please follow these steps:

 

1. Login to your Umgalelo account using your credentials.

2. Once logged in, navigate to your Backoffice.

3. In your Backoffice, locate and click on the "Upgrade" button or click on any of the Starter Kit images to proceed to the store.

4. Here you will be presented with a selection of Starter Kits once again. Click on the "See Details" button of the desired Starter Kit.

5. Review the details of the Starter Kit and once you have made your selection, accept the Terms and Conditions by ticking the required box.

6. Click the "Buy Now" button to proceed with the purchase.

7. Next, click on the "Click to change Stockist" button. You will need to choose from the list where you would like to collect your order.

8. Complete the checkout form, ensuring that you have provided all the required information.

9. Click on the "Payment Method" button.

10. If you have chosen to pay using PayFast, you will be redirected to a secure payment page where you can complete your order payment.

11. For EFT payments, please ensure that you use your UserID or Name and Surname as a reference.

 

By following these steps, you will be able to upgrade your account and complete the necessary steps to become an active distributor at Umgalelo.

Completing an order

How to place Umgalelo order online

To make a purchase on our website, please follow these steps:


1. Navigate to the "Product" page

2. Browse through the available products and select the ones you want to purchase.

3. Indicate the quantity of each selected product that you wish to order.

4. If you still want to add more products to your purchase, click "ADD TO CART" button. This will allow you to continue shopping and add additional items to your cart.

5. If you're ready to complete your purchase, click "BUY NOW" button.

6. If you want to use your stored details for shipping/courier, click "USE ADDRESS BOOK" button. Alternatively, you can manually complete the shipping form with your information.

7. Remember to select either "COURIER" for delivery or choose a "STOCKIST" location from where you would like to collect your products.

8. Choose your preferred payment method and use your Order Number as a reference (you will find the Order Number once you are done with the Checkout page). 

The available options are:

   - PAYFAST (payment and order instantly verified and approved)

   - WIRE TRANSFER (EFT and cash deposits subject to 48 up-to hour payment verification)

9. Finally, click "PLACE ORDER NOW" button to complete the transaction and finalize your purchase.


By following these steps, you will be able to navigate our product selection, add items to your cart, provide shipping details, choose a payment method, and successfully place your order.

Can I pay for Umgalelo order online

Yes you can pay for your order online via our online payment gateway PayFast:

1. Selecting this option (Pay Fast) on the checkout page allows you to make a secure online payment.
2. When you choose this method, you will be redirected to the PayFast payment gateway.
3. Follow the instructions provided on the PayFast page to complete your payment.
4. You may need to provide your payment card details or use alternative payment methods supported by PayFast.
5. After successfully completing the payment, you will be redirected to a page with your Order Number.

Can I pay for Umgalelo order via EFT

EFT Payment (Electronic Funds Transfer):

1. EFT payment allows you to transfer funds directly from your bank account to the designated account for the business.
2. Choose "Wire Transfer"if you prefer to make a bank transfer instead of using online payment gateways.
3. When paying via EFT, you will be required to make a payment into one of Umgalelo Products banking business accounts.
4. Use your Order Number as a reference when initiating the transfer.
5. Once the transfer is completed, it may take some time for the payment to reflect in the Umgalelo Products banking account. Keep the payment confirmation as proof of payment and allow up-to 48 hours for the money to reflect before your order can be processed.

Does Umgalelo accept Card payments

Speed Point or Card Payment at the Counter:

1. This option is available for in-person transactions at the physical counter or Stockist outlet with a Speed Point.
2. Assuming you may have already made your order,
3. The staff will assist you in processing the payment using a speed point device.
4. Follow the instructions on the speed point, which may include inserting or swiping your card, entering the PIN, and confirming the transaction amount.
5. After successful authorization, you will receive a receipt as proof of payment.
6. It will then take an average of 15 minutes for the payment to be verified and approved if done during working hours between Monday and Friday.Saturday transactions may only be verified the following Monday.

Does Umgalelo accept Bank deposits

Bank Deposits:

1. Bank deposits involve physically going to a bank branch or using an ATM to deposit funds into the business's designated bank account.
2. Choose "Wire Transfer" if you prefer to deposit cash directly into the account.
3. Obtain the necessary banking details, including the account number, bank name, and branch code.
4. Fill out a deposit slip or use the deposit function on the ATM, providing the required information and the deposit amount.
5. Include your Order Number as a reference on the deposit slip or in the transaction details.

Collecting an order from Internal Stockists:

1. Locations: Umgalelo has a network of Internal Stockists, which are collection centers located within our own facilities or designated locations.
2. Collection at No Extra Charge: When collecting your order from an Internal Stockist, there is no additional collection fee. You can conveniently collect your order without incurring any extra charges.
3. In-House Convenience: Internal Stockists are established to provide a seamless and cost-effective collection option for customers. These centers are strategically located largely in the big cities of South Africa for easy access and efficient order pickup.
4. Availability: The specific Internal Stockist locations can be found on our website or by contacting our customer support. Look for "Stockists List" here on the Help Centre.
5. Order Collection Process: When collecting your order from an Internal Stockist, please ensure that you collect from the designated pickup location (the Stockist you have elected to collect from when making an order) and that you bring a proof of identification or proof of purchase and the Order Number.
By utilizing our Internal Stockists, you can conveniently collect your order without any additional charges, ensuring a smooth and hassle-free experience.

Courier Options

On the "Checkout Page," you will be presented with the following courier options:

Option 1: PARGO PICK UP POINTS - COURIER (RECOMMENDED) - R100.00

Selecting this option allows you to choose your preferred pickup point by clicking on the map. Delivery notifications will be sent via email and SMS once the parcel is on its way. Once the parcel arrives at the selected pickup point, you will receive a notification to collect it.

Option 2: COURIER - R100.00

This option offers a Door-to-Door service. However, we recommend the Pargo Pick Up Points option due to the high occurrence of incorrect addresses and subsequent delivery delays associated with the Courier service.
